Echoes of a Bomb

On Sept. 15, 1963, a bomb went off during Sunday services at the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Born and raised not far from where it happened, I was 10 years old at the time, and remember the day vividly. Today, as I reflect on this horrific tragedy, I'm aware the explosion that killed four young girls continues to have an impact today.
